Frankfort Chiropractor Talks Nutrition: Redefining the Diet

Frankfort chiropractorFranfort chiropractor implements good nutrition.jpg, Dr. Stratton, wants to redefine the word “diet”. Most people immediately think of a restrictive set of food rules they have to follow to lose weight. While a proper diet often leads to weight loss, this mindset misses the point by miles. “Diet” should refer to eating the foods that will help our bodies heal and thrive; foods that fortify and strengthen us, help us avoid illness and fatigue, while helping us reach our fullest health potential.

Eating for Wellness

Eating for wellness can be very simple, but it requires some evaluation of every individual’s nutritional needs and physiological makeup. Consider the following questions:

Does most of my food come from a package? Packaged foods have had most of their essential nutrients processed out of them. Those nutrients have, instead, been replaced by preservatives, colorings and fillers that add stress and toxins to our bodies that can make them ill and fatigued.

Am I eating organic, fresh foods? Organic, in-season foods carry the best mix of nutrients for our bodies. The body absorbs and uses them as nature intended without putting extra stress and toxins in to slow down the process. This is our definition of “diet”—putting the best foods into our bodies to fuel our optimum, holistic health!

Am I eating healthy, but still not feeling well? If so, come in for non-invasive Nutritional Response Testing (NRT). By evaluating the strength or weakness of certain muscles, our chiropractor can accurately diagnose a person’s food sensitivities and digestive health issues. If a person has a latent sensitivity to potatoes, for example, even fresh organic potatoes can still cause problems for that person.

Through NRT, we can craft a nutritional roadmap for each individual that addresses food sensitivities and nutritional needs in such a way that removes toxins and stress from the body’s organs and gives it the fuel it needs to feel great and function at its top level.

Just think about it: what goals could you accomplish if you felt completely well and energetic?
